Cost of a Destination Wedding in Goa
Below mentioned is a general outline on the costs, which would help you in setting a standard budget figure for your wedding:
Accommodation (Oct to March)
Deluxe 5 Star hotel: Rs. 12,500 – Rs. 17,500 + taxes (per room per night)
5 Star hotel: Rs. 8,000 – Rs. 11,500 + taxes (per room per night)
4 Star hotel: Rs. 4,500 – Rs. 7,000 + taxes (per room per night)
3 Star hotel: Rs. 3,500 – Rs. 4,500 + taxes (per room per night)
The accommodation rates in Goa go down by 25% – 40% for the months of May to September. The first half of April can still be a bit pricey. June to August is heavy on rains, and it rains like crazies. Hence, most of the times, only indoor events are possible from June to September.
Meals in 5/4 Star hotels
May start from Rs. 750 + taxes per person and may range upto Rs. 4500 + taxes or more, depending on the menu you chose and type of the hotel.
Venues in 5/4 star hotels
Beach Facing Premium venues/gardens: Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 2,00,000 per day
Standard venues/non beach facing gardens/halls: Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 65,000 per day
Photographers
We have divided them into 4 levels for your ease of understanding.There are n kinds of photographers available with various category of services and budgets:
Budget photographer: Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 18,000 per event (photographs not good enough to see, no offence to anyone but we are yet to have a great experience)
Professional photographer (level 1) : Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 40,000 per event ( professional photographs (average))
Professional photographer (level 2): Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 75,000 per event (professional photographs + candid style, good quality in terms of the types of photos clicked)
Professional photographer (level 3): Rs. 85,000 – 1, 00,000 or more per event (professional photographs + candid photography, very good quality in terms of the types of photos clicked )

Beautician for the Bride
Professionals charge anywhere from Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 30,000 per event (includes your hair, make up and dress drape)
If you are looking for make up artists who specialize in doing bollywood heroines, then the charges could be between Rs. 50, 000 to Rs. 1, 00,000 per event . If you are flying an artist from outside Goa, you may need to arrange for their, travel, accommodation and meals.
Décor (per event)
This is something very subjective. It is much easier to give an idea once we know what exactly your requirements are and how many guests you have. To have a general guideline on pricing, please refer below:
Small set ups could be done for as less as Rs. 35,000 – Rs. 65,000. Something like a pooja/haldi set up.
In terms of pre wedding functions like mehendi or sangeet, basic color schemes can start from about Rs. 95,000 onwards, whereas a theme based mehendi/sangeet décor would start from Rs. 1,95,000 onwards. In case of customizations, the prices could go about 30% higher in comparison to pre set themes.
Similar approximations apply for wedding and post wedding set ups.
Highly customized and elaborate set ups can cost Rs. 5,00,000 onwards per event.
Entertainment and music
From Djs, live bands, goan and African acrobats, belly dancers, gazal artists, bhangra troupes, village dances, there are n number of options when it comes to entertainment.
Average budget per entertainment is about Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 50,000.
However, it can range between Rs. 4,00,000 to Rs. 6,00,000 as well in case of high end artists.

The average budget per procession element can range from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000.
The Elephant is an exception, which may cost you about Rs. 60,000 onwards in Goa.
Miscellaneous wedding elements
Pandit ji, Fireworks, Wedding Cake, Henna Artists, Chinese lanterns, cold pyros etc.
For the above, one can set aside about 1 Lakh Rupees.
